It's Finished! :o)

I put the final finishes to my corset dress this week and decided on a name; Iceberg Corset Dress. Not very imaginative but I'm happy with it. :o)

Just need to get my e-mail entry done and I will be finished and very ready to move on to my next project. I abandoned a half-finished corset back in October when I started this project so I should go ( Read more... )

I am a beginner and wonder how you set the grommets. I just have a hand grommet plier and mine do not look like that!

Your creativity shines in this piece. I wish I had looked at the competition in time to vote. You get the Grand Prize in my opinion!

Thank you for taking the time to check out my dress diary and for your lovely comments. I really enjoyed taking part in the DPP and it pushed me to try something new so that's always a good thing.

As for the grommets, I use prym eyelets that come with a setting tool which you then use with a hammer. I think they also sell pliers that work with their eyelets which means you are less likely to hammer your fingers!
