I guess this is it with me and Mike. We were on the phone this morning talking about his car troubles. I suggested that he have my dad look at it, and maybe he could tell him what's wrong, and how to fix it. He 'knows' what's wrong with it, and evidentally, needing help from anyone would be an insult

I'm sorry to see things aren't going so great at the moment. It kinda sounds like the vast majority of the effort lies on you and in the world of relationships it needs to be a 2 way road. You're right about letting things ride here and seeing where it goes. In the end it'll happen like its supposed to (the most overused advice in the world...but very true).
