Here's another, featuring the very beautiful Ewan McGregor.

I made this with PSP 8.
This icon's from my new batch.

01 Find a base image, crop it to 100x100 and then sharpen it a couple times. This is my base:



02 Create a new layer. Set the blend mode to 'Exclusion' at '100%' and fill it with a very dark blue colour. I use '#000F2C' all the time.



03 Duplicate the bottom layer (your base) twice. Bring both new layers up to the top of your old two layers and set both blend modes to 'Soft Light' at '100%'.



04 Create a new layer and fill it with this gradient (by pocket_icons):



Set the blend mode to 'Screen' at '100%', and now I have:



05 Create another new layer and fill it with this gradient (also by pocket_icons):



Set the layer to 'Burn' at '100%'. Here's what I've got now:



06 Another new gradient layer (this gradient is by crumblingwalls):



Set it to 'Burn' at '45%'.



07 New layer again, with a simple black-to-white gradient:



Set it to 'Overlay' at '60%'.



08 Finally, a text layer. I really hate text layers. But whatever. I took some nice coldplay lyrics, slapped them on a layer, set it to 'Hard Light' at '100%'.



And voila!
