tutorial on how to make something like this for hee-yeon@tumblr (: obviously rushed. XD
(i'm using imageready, but this should be similar to any image/gif editing program)
o1. Open up the background image and the gif you're going to use.
o2. Select all the layers of your gif and drag them to your background. Position them as you want (:
this is how it should look now:

o4. Duplicate your frames so that they are equal to the layers of your gif. (if gif layers = 6, then frames should also be = 6.)
o5. Go to each frame and make sure the layer visible is the same number as the frame.
you can then add text, coloring, etc. (:
