Been a While

It's definitely been some time since I've written anything in here. Mostly, I'm just lazy about it, but I've also been super busy. Today's my first day back to work from vacation and I've allowed myself to breathe.

I didn't go anywhere tropical last week, though, in retrospect, I should have devoted a day to just driving somewhere and seeing the sights. My mission was to work on the bathroom. It's been in disrepair for a while. My dad can't do the physical work he used to do and can't afford a plumber besides. Enter: me. So far I have demolished the walls, stripped the floor and radiator, and replaced the sink, pipes, and faucet. My brother and I also replaced the window in there. My next project is the piping and drain system for the bathtub. That's next Sunday's project. Then I'll paint the radiator, lay the tile, replace the toilet, paint the top half of the walls and but tileboard on the bottom half. My brother (under the guidance of my dad) has been working on the electrical stuff. I'm a wuss when it comes to electric and wiring stuff. Either way, I'm pretty exhausted, truth be told.

Haven't really had much free time lately. Again, thinking back I should have probably hit the club and hung out more. Kristin and Mindy must think I don't like hanging out with them. And of course, I do! Seems like I'm always spent when they wanna do just something. And some Thursdays I just can't make it to karaoke without dozing off. That's why I pass on TK's all together sometimes...though I thoroughly enjoy the banter between Moco, Laroo, Fil, and company, but I guess I'm getting old :)

I've actually been cranky and in a bad mood throughout last week. I wish I knew why. Perhaps I do and just haven't figured it out yet. I know part of it has to do with my weight. I've been doing great: I've lost 60 lbs. But I can't seem to go below 160. I could be at a plateau. I hate when that happens. Though I've been fortunate enough that the plateau came at -60 lbs and not at -10. I need to sleep too. That doesn't help a bit. I should post some before/after pics. I need to do that anyway for my doctor on Thursday. I noticed some exercise classes listed in the SouthCoast learning Network book that I might look in to.

Gonna go look at a house at 5PM. This one's on Tremont Street. Seems nice on the outside (someone's a fan of wrap-around porches ;) A lil pricey, but not nearly as pricey as houses were a year ago. I've been reading about the housing "bubble" bursting. I do agree that it will indeed burst. It's already begun. Good for me, bad for the seller.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow; Bob is taking the directors to see a potential property for us to move to. I like what I hear so far about the location, so I hope it doesn't disappoint me! The last one we saw on North Main St. was okay, but it just wasn't right. This one sounds better...plus my office would be much larger :D

I watched some of "Along Came Polly" yesterday with Joe. I'd forgotten how much I liked that movie. And I do so <3 Jennifer Aniston. She's awesome.
