So....it's been a week. Just earlier today around noon I finished up my research proposal for Critical Methods class. Its quite a relief to have done since that was THE class I had to pass this quarter. Not that I'm in danger of failing anything at all, just that I've got quite the history with those research methods classes that its nice to be ( Read more... )

Get a second opinion on that CI crap. I had the same thing happen to me for years, which is why it took me so long to get it. I could hear basically fine with my hearing aids as well (as you probably noticed) but, with the CI its less of a fucking struggle and more clarified.

once again, get a second... even if need be, a third opinion.

they're doing implants on children with moderate hearing losses.... i don't know why, but if they are then you should be able to as well. also, i "put things together" excellently back in high school, but i guess i was like... "imagine how much BETTER i could do this and with more ease?"

yea i would suggest to go see another audiologist/specialist. the range of hearing losses that can now be approved for candidency has greatly increased. but ofc, this is all about what you want so if you are satisfied with how things are now then thats great. I could still hear fine with my hearing aids, but given the fact that i knew my hearing was going to get progressively worse, i basically had nothing to lose. you'll still have the ear that wasn't implanted as well.
