A warning for Paypal users

Here's a complaint letter I just sent to Paypal, after my account was locked out due to "suspicious activity". The activity in question was an attempt by me to conduct a transaction while traveling. What I didn't know at the time was that they still took the money out of my bank account and placed it in my paypal account before locking it down ( Read more... )

And it can get worse from there. It's particularly annoying because PayPal is sold on the idea that it's quick, easy, your friend, blablabla.

Oh, and PayPal *still* has ~$45 of mine floating in an old account from an Amazon booksale 4 yrs ago. I've actually been told by customer service that I have no way of getting it out.

"Out" implies that your money is in a lockbox with no key. What you mean is that there's no way of getting it back.
