Farewell Old Friend

I'm heartbroken to report I had Buddy put to sleep today at the age of 14, following a week of illness. He was suffering from complications brought about by lung cancer, and the prognosis indicated only a slim chance of responding to treatment. He was a true friend and companion for the 5+ years I had him, and I've never known a cat with more

Now that I have a cat for the first time ever (hypoallergenic!), I actually understand. I guess we'll lose them each -- unless one loses us! or there's a Catularity! -- sadness...
