It's amazing. I used to have a page or more of new posts to read here on my f-list every day, but then I unfollowed I Can Has Cheezburger and there's, like, one or two new posts here per day. Very few of the folks on my friends list bother with LJ anymore, it seems

fullmoon.typepad.com has most of my silly links/book reviews/crafts/weirdo hobby blogs listed there somewhere.

LJ is mostly used for stuff I have to friends-lock, like comments about work.

I despise Facebook and Twitter.

Probably not, Ravelry is the only "social networking" thing I haven't ended up despising, and it seems like more trouble than it's worth to sign up for another thing that tracks you all the time anyway. When employers are looking your ass up, and you can't put anything fun up, why bother?

For what it's worth, it's pretty easy to keep things private on FB, Twitter and Google+.

Have you tried a speech-to-text thing for long posts?

Yeah it's just annoying to use...and now I'm on a mac. I'm thinking of using that feature on my phone for posting. Should work ok, and is better than the Dragon I was using on my laptop.
