Capitol punishment or life in prison

I once had an argument with someone that killing killers does not solve the problem or something like that. Her argument was that of morality and I supose the idea that people can be rehabilitated. We where mostly talking about the guy who killed something like 150 women. My thoughts on this is that the man killed 150 women with out once ( Read more... )

I think one of the major reasons for a lack of capital punishment is that many times innocent people are put behind bars. I know we claim guilty beyond a resonable doubt but there is a endless amount of cases where innocence has been proven. in some cases new evidence that proves innocence may have been found in a time span too late to save someone's life. Thus its hard to have a concience to pass a law that promotes captial punishment ( ... )

Well like I said, some times its not their fault and basically it would be a way of changing a death sentience to a life in prison sentence that you are basically working your keep for. When you get old you finish off your life comfortibly and don't have to work, like retirement, if you are hurt beyond repair the same thing occures. But that being said its also a form of redemption as well. its not perfect but it is an idea.
