I hate that crap. That's probably a good 2-3 hours of my week, research as to why things are doing what they're doing, when they're doing exactly what I was told to make them do in the first place.

And it's my job to tell you to make it do something different than we had you make it do three months ago.

My "official" title is Functional Area MIS (Managed Information Systems) Analyst I. For better or for worse, I moved into the position a bit over two years ago.

Basically means I do the lion's share of the testing on changes they have to make to the system and have to straighten them out when they get business requirements all wrong, because while our little off shore team of indian programmers may know how to code (though I frankly doubt their proficiency at this as well), they don't know and cannot seem to learn/infer jack about the business.
