I was so heartbroken when it closed, and my parents were so happy to tell me it had reopened, I ... went to the first night they were open at the new location. And then I hadn't been there in two years, so went yesterday. The soup is still the best thing ever. And I still remember the murder, but really distantly because I was 8. My parents had been there a few hours earlier and are still freaked out by it.

I'm so glad that you went and saw American Idiot! I lovelovelove the entire cast, though I'm sad you didn't see Joshua Henry as Favorite Son. His abs were a thing of beauty. My favorite cast member is definitely Michael Esper (Will), who manages to do a beautiful job of confining all of his acting to his couch. He's brilliant.

"When It's Time" is amaaaazing. I wish that the soundtrack included his little gasp and guitar!clutch. I know a lot of people are shunning this musical because it's ~ruining Green Day's music, but they've clearly put a lot of work into it, and I'm glad you gave it a chance. :D
