Hooray fish!

Okay, apologies in advance: this entire post is about fish. The live, swimming-around kind, to be exact.

The story begins the day before yesterday, when I was messing around with my aquarium a bit-- cleaning the filter, pruning plants that had gone crazy, changing some of the water, etc. My two blue rams (Papiliochromis/Microgeophagus ramirezi)

How cute! I once had two goldfish who spawned and they ate all the eggs. To be honest, I was glad about that because I really hadn't planned on having an aquarium (the fish were a present).
