Attention: Photographers

I'm going to be doing a bit of economic stimulus with my tax refund this year, and am looking at purchasing a DSLR rig. I've talked to several friends (some of whom will be reading this) and have a pretty good idea what I want. At the moment, I'm looking at the following:

Nikon D90 kit w/ 18-105mm lens

Nikon SB-600 Speedlight flashAlso planning

YES YES! I have both and they are awesome.

I have a 50mm lens, but haven't really gotten around to messing with it yet.

Cool thing about the SB-600... it can be used as a remote flash which can be controlled by your camera. Weird instruction manual kinda hard to find. I'd recommend a non-Nikon user manual, I think there's one called "the missing manual" Get it! The Nikon manual is crap.

Anywho... once you get it, start postin' some pics. I have yet to post any here... but I'm beginning to put my favorite ones on my deviant art page. :)

Awesome, thanks for the "endorsement". I'm going to probably spend a few weeks reading the manuals, and anything else I can get online.

I'll probably get a Flickr account or some such for pictures.
