Me
Feeling pretty blocked. I've barely touched my novel in over a week and tags are like pulling teeth with, of course, the exception of Meredith. I think part of the problem is I got so bogged down while I was away and I was rushing to catch up in time to make reqs, so I'm still in this state of ohgodohgod. I need to drop most of last month's threads, because I only have one for this month now. I'll keep whatever's plotty or has just been started (and all of Mere's), but a lot of it just has to go. I need a fresh start. Every now and then I think I'd do well to drop some pups, since I really do need to spend more time writing and less time roleplaying/watching TV, but I always manage to pull through at the end and anyway, there's no one I want to get rid of.

Veronica Mars
Back on the Council! Now to figure out how to make good on her promises re: heightened security without actually getting in the way of anyone who wants to do some plot that hinges on crime of any sort, because I think we need rather more of that than less. Again, I want to give her her item and keep delaying, but I just haven't rewatched any yet and I don't want to do it until I can totally do it justice. In the meanwhile, she's in Mathias' time loop which is going to be massively traumatic. Yay!

Eden McCain
Scraping by. I haven't EPed her since September, which is crazy. I actually wrote her an EP yesterday but then didn't post it because I feel too weighed down by the tags I hadn't yet done, and now I have to rewrite it because it was date-specific. She's such a great character and I love her so much and I ignore her way too often and that is what I say every month.

Meredith Grey
Not busy in terms of number of threads just now, but busy in terms of personal plot. Izzie's gone, which is rough on her, but every disappearance is plot. If/when Carly brings Izzie again, she'll probably be pretty wary of her for a while, but the truth is, for all her denial and her attempts to keep people out, Meredith's pretty crap at holding her friends at bay and she's fairly resilient, though she doesn't see it at all. Currently, she's dealing with that and Sadie's around. Later on, I'll be giving her Doc for an item and then, laaaate in summer, maybe early fall depending on how long things take/what's going on, she'll get her timeloop, which is going to be just her and her mother. Oh, and next week, she'll have been with Sean for a year. That in itself isn't necessarily remarkable on a more than ordinary level, except that a) this is Meredith Grey and b) the absolute lack of break ups in that period is, considering her track record, pretty notable. Go, Meredith, go! All of which begs the question: guys, is Jean having another birthday party?

Serena van der Woodsen
So the only thing to really happen to her lately, despite my efforts, has been for her to meet Sookie Stackhouse. That said, this is pretty damn awesome, because they've really clicked and I think Serena needs someone like Sookie in her life more than I realized - a bright, but (sort of) sensible companion and confidante who isn't the least bit society or New York, and a slightly older girl, to boot. She's kind of fascinated by telepathy and vampires now, but that's okay because it means a) now she wants to meet some and that could be hilarious and b) it's way better than her being depressed. God, what do you even do with a depressed Serena van der Woodsen?

Sarah Walker
Not up to much, but she just had her one year anniversary with Chuck, which is a pretty big deal all things considered. She's not got a lot of plot going on, which always makes her a little harder to write. My problem is I'm a character-driven writer who keeps picking plot-driven characters, and yet I never learn to come up with plots. She's not really in any danger - I'm really very happy with my line-up right now - but again, I need to step it up.

Moira MacTaggert
Introducing Benjamin Linus to the island, which is pretty awesome, and not this month, but maybe next month, I want to give her her item, I think. It depends on the schedule for my next trip and whether or not I've taken care of Vee's first. Anyway, she's really, really hard to EP, but she's pretty easy to play once I actually get started. It's just a matter of remembering to tag her around into whatever. She's met Thalia and Ishiah this last month and they've both been interesting for different reasons. Between her and Emma, I feel like I'm trying to collect all the island's teenagers.

Emma Frost
Teaching! This makes me so happy. She can't really pass up the opportunity, even if her students are almost all Jenny Humphrey. My favorite thing in the world about this is that she and Sean are teaching Billy Kaplan and Kate Bishop physical fitness. That's just amazing. Sometime in the future, expect a joint EP from her and Sean, teaching class, and by teaching class, I mean getting into a fight, because this is how they do. Other than that, not much in store for her. I want to do a canon refresh so I can remind myself what I wanted to give her for an item. I should really write these things down. Emma is the only one I'm considering for body switch, in part because she'd just be so blasé about it, at least comparatively speaking; she'd still be pissed, but eh, she's been through it before.

The Future
Britta Perry. That's it. I still am, of course, considering Abby Mills, Jessica Hamby and Scott Summers for the future, but pretty much for the distant future, because at this point, I'm pretty sure that eight is my limit with pups. I've played eight before, but over that and it's just too many for me to juggle while still paying all of them an adequate amount of attention. As much as I love the others, though, Britta's completely captured my heart. While there are clearly some fundamental issues I'm drawn to, she's also just about the only comedic character I think I could pull off and I've always wanted to try my hand at that. The only thing about her that makes me even briefly think about reconsidering is the ridiculous amount of bleed I already get from the finale. I've come to the conclusion that, basically, I utterly loathe love triangles and the only thing to do is to pull Britta from early as possible, so I'm thinking maybe the debate episode. Of course, given that I'm going on vacation again soon (probably), I may have to delay her until August so I can give her the attention she needs instead of just running off.
