[ooc - character study] it's always been the watchword
I just read the most fabulous character study of S2 Veronica versus S1 Veronica (well, less versus and more how she really is the same girl we always thought she was; she just wants to be a girl she used to be instead). It reminded me that I wanted to articulate some things both about Veronica and my view of her.
( Veronica doesn't articulate how she feels very often, so I'm gonna do it for her. Also, although I start out by saying that I think she's best on her own, this is largely an assessment of her in terms of her romances with Duncan and Logan. ) -

we used to be friends
It wasn't that Veronica Mars had been avoiding people on purpose. For the most part, it had just happened that way. With so much on her mind, she might have stayed away from people altogether if it hadn't been for the trial. And that was just her luck, too. Even on a desert island, you get lessons on civic duty. [ooc] everything was closed at Coney Island
Veronica appears on the island while walking on the beach near her apartment before school, and she's less than thrilled by what she initially suspects is an overly elaborate practical joke. It doesn't help that that Ariel chick knows her name. But William Bush seems nice enough, if less than convinced by Veronica's mad skillz.
