This test scares the crap out of me

"Thoughtful to the extreme, you are often obsessed with perfection and the rules governing your own personal interests. Your world is black and white. You love to work within a logical system, such as language, computer programming, or mathematics. Manipulating a system that can be completely understood is a distinct pleasure to you, because of ( Read more... )

That may just be because your actions are in synch with your moral values. I'm sure if you ate meat, you'd be quite disturbed.

I totally would be. But would it be a psychic disturbance?

Yes, Yes, it would.

Wow. Here's mine. I think parts of it are true but I don't know if I like what it says about me.

"You reach out to the world and pull in experiences of all forms and kinds. Spontaneous, immediate and active, you have a natural tendency to win, whether this is in the business world or on the freeway. In the right context this can be a positive encouragement to those around you. In the wrong context it can lead to a pathetic display of ego and misplaced pride. You are always on the prowl for clues as to how to win. Usually this behavior is unconscious or playful but the sense of play can rapidly disappear if you are found to be losing in the aforementioned contest. Only those who don’t compete are met with derision. You love to be the center of attention. The moment at hand is always of prime concern. Worries about the future or the past, or abstract discussions of philosophical matters are something for others to concern themselves with. Emotions are fleeting and often used as tactics."

The shifty lights think you are a very crafty person, apparently.

The shifty lights think I am quite psychologically complex and tend to be successful at whatever I do, but that I tend to use people and am shallow and unconsciously narcissistic. Which I can't even refute because if it is unconscious how would I know?

Maybe the fact that I am now wondering if other people really see me that way, and if so how I can counteract that, means that it's true.

Or maybe I just need to stop taking personality tests while I'm in the middle of writing fan fiction from the POV of one Tony Stark. :P

I guess that would depend on what they mean, really. Not that I would put a lot of stock into the shifty lights, because, um..they are shifty lights. What do they know? But is it unconscious as in just existing in your mind below the surface or is it more on a unconscious motivation that shows up in your actions? Because the latter could you probably spot if it was there and you were looking for it, but not the former.

I don't see you that way, and from what I have seen of other friendships of yours, I have a hard time believing that they would see you that way, either. You don't use people and I've never seen you lose a sense of playfulness or direct derision towards anyone, except in a few real life stories in which people were horrible. You are too thoughtful to be shallow. As for narcissistic...well, I do recall someone calling themselves vain... ;p

Please tell me it's Drive. That could also be a good idea, but...it can also be really fun to take personality tests as characters! I'm not sure particular bit of WTF ( ... )

Yeah, a lot of that really sounds like you. Though I feel like it is not the place of the weird shifty lights to call you "frustrating" in a relationship. Have you ever dated the lights?
