A) Don't die. Surfing or driving.

B) Driving CAN be very relaxing, actually. (It's other drivers that make it stressful.) I'll be interested to see what you think of it once you learn.

C) The last line made me smile. :)

I doubt I'll go surfing again any time soon, in fact my instructor kind of freaked out when I told him I don't really know how to swim (after we were in the water). Whoops.
Driving certainly seemed relaxing that morning, anyway.

I loved The Stranger! I wish I could read that part in French. The phrase that stuck with me was "I opened myself to the gentle indifference of the world."

Yes! I love that line!

The part from the worksheet is the first few lines from the start of one of the chapters, he talks about waking up with a headache and going outside with Marie where the bright sun was like a slap in the face.

Yeah I'm kind of sad that LJ has been abandoned for the most part. I guess at least the communities are still alive, I love linguaphiles especially.
