A Declaration of the Independence of LiveJournal (parody)

Disclaimer: This is intended for entertainment as a parody of two things: officially, it parodies "A Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace", available here. Second, it laughs at the mass hysteria that occurred after Brad's announcement. No mutinies, revolutions, rebellions, exoduses to other blogging services, or sabotages are encouraged.

This is the Best. Thing. Ever.

You rule...

I don't remember having to sign a new TOS... maybe when I log back out and back in again?

*worries*

Thank God I have a GJ, too... although I've never used it.

Thanks! Really, the original writer(s) did most of the work. I was sent the link as part of a class I'm in that deals with Internet and the law, and when reading it, I realized how differently it'd read if "LiveJournal" was substituted where it said "Internet". I tweaked the wording some, and there you have it: our "Declaration of Independence"! ;)

I haven't agreed to the new TOS either. I'm wondering if it's just one of those things where we're bound to the currently displayed version and it's our responsibility to check it. I haven't looked to see if that's the wording.

I have a GJ, but I haven't used it, and honestly, I don't have my journal backed up there :-$

Hey! So I was on Leah's journal today and I saw your name and remembered that I wanted to ask you something. I used to be on your LJ but I didn't really comment much at the time (which was more because I was incredibly busy with work, not a lack of wanting to). I remember reading some of your viewpoints on Buffy and I've just gotten into the show myself (yeah a little late lol). Being as frustrated with QAF spoilers as I have been makes me sad when I take Buffy into consideration because from what I've seen so far, Cowlip could only dream of developing their characters and keeping so close to continuity as Joss has. So anyway it looks like your comments are either gone or under your friends only section so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind friending me back again. Thanks.
