sort of dreading the dentist visit today. Having a mutant wisdom tooth pulled.

No, I've got two baby-sized upper wisdom teeth below the regular wisdom teeth. They've never caused a problem, but the one on the right side is "leaning" against the tooth next to it that needs a crown. Unless the baby tooth is removed, the crown won't fit properly.

Ah, I had all 4 pulled in my early 20's, and 2 grew back in my early 30's (I'm SOOOO glad that they're not growing in again).

I had my two lower ones taken out when I was in the Navy, and they stayed gone, but no dentist wanted to tackle the upper four, since they weren't moving or causing problems. Now the thought from my current dentist is that removing the small one may trigger the large one to drop down. In which case, if it comes in properly, I can have the crowned tooth removed completely and just let the wisdom tooth replace it.
