Since you're open to a geographic change, keep in mind that the Seattle area economy is not hurting or stagnant like other areas of the country (Cali, Nevada, Fla), so I've been told. Also, the Washington DC area seems to be holding its own job-wise, but is having to deal with the real estate "adjustment" issue.

Good Luck on this challenge. I wish you that knowing you're going to land another position in comfortable order.
