"No," Eden called, "we're not here." It was more contrary impulse that made her say so, though, than any real desire to be alone, and she set down her book, shifted the cat from her lap with some difficulty and headed out to open the door. "Grigg, hey." Pushing onto her toes, she kissed his cheek and steadied a hand on his arm. "What's up?"

Running a hand through his hair, Grigg took a deep breath and tried look calmer than he felt. Fighting the urge to give in and be impulsive but that felt too much like giving into the advice he had been offered.

Smiling slightly, he took a deep breath and looked down at her. "Have you met him?"

It came out more cryptic than he had indeed but it was the only thing in his mind.

Eden turned her head to the side, looking at him askance through narrowed eyes. "Who, Jesus?" she asked, deadpan. "I haven't met any him. Him who?"

The combination of effort, vagueness and that slight smile was more than a little bewildering, she found, but she just stayed put, waiting for an answer. Sooner or later, he'd probably start making sense.

"What?" Confusion swept over his face as he tried to process the idea that both his clone and Jesus could be on the island. That would almost be too much to find out in such a short amount of time.

"Robin. He's my clone. He's..." He waved a hand in lack of proper words to describe him.
