I once did a coral lipstick comparison for a friend when I had a lot more than I did, and this one person just hounded me for it. I like girly things. I love cosmetics and I can talk anyone's ear off about them.
I know right? I want to send them to Scrangie's blog.
I haven't tried a lot of the Zoya because I got them all at once. They did an Earth Day promo where you sent in nailpolish to recycle and each one you sent in you could pick a Zoya color for free.
And for the longest time I was on a straight black kick. I need to replace my poor loved Liquid Vinyl.
A year and a half and 1500 polishes? All of a sudden I don't feel so bad for the ones I have.
They were cheapy ones. Like drug store/dollar store colors. Or ones that I didn't really like. The only rule was to send one to get one. :) and it had to be colored, not a top/base coat.
Even as someone who's not really into makeup, I will fully support you in your nail polish endeavors. Go, buy all the nail polish! Let me live vicariously through you!
Nail polish was the one "girly" thing I enjoyed when I was a kid. I would still enjoy it except... 1. I no longer have any. 2. I think it would look weird if I put the effort into making my nails look pretty but didn't bother with eye shadow/lipstick/etc. 3. Nail polish remover gives me headaches like whoa. :(
I think I got the bestie into 'girly things' with nail polish. I bought Rica by Zoya and was wearing it and let her paint her nails with it and so she fell in love.
See, I think painted nails look nice. Half the time I don't wear makeup out of the house other than mascara and lip gunk and my nails are done. But the nail polish headache thing isn't good.
My cousin was the one who got me into it. We used to have so much fun painting our finger and toenails together.
I think painted nails look nice if you know how to do them correctly. If you don't, or if you have bad fashion sense (like me; I'm forever stuck in my 7 year old mindset of "IT NEEDS MORE SPARKLES!") then it would probably just end up looking unprofessional. Especially when it starts to chip off. I tended to let the paint on mine come off on its own, since nail polish remover gave me such bad headaches.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MOAR GLITTER! <3333333333
I get you. I'm a picker so I tend to peel it off because I get a lot of tip wear. I use straight acetone which stinks to all hell but gets it off all at once. :D
I envy your collection. I only have around 30 right now and I want them all. I love doing my nails and how they look, and you are awesome for what you have.
I love your nail polish collection! I also have a lot, though I think right now you have more than me because I just went through and got rid of a bunch that I haven't used for years and don't see myself using again. I need to catch up! :)
