Aren't male chickens... roosters? So chicken soup is actually rooster soup?

key word there: castrated. those with thier balls still attached are roosters. Those that have been chopped are broilers.

Ok, so maybe that wasn't really funny, since it really doesn't make sense to broil soup. Not that it would have really been funny if it did...so...never mind. I'm going on 1 hour of sleep here.

Also - CONGRATS!!! I'm so excited for you about the zoo...I'm sure it'll be a blast. And YAY for no more PAC and dumpster diving, for sure :)

Actually, I'll try NOT to remember, but thanks for the random fact, Kathleen. There's one and only one rule I have about eating meat and that is NOT knowing anything about how the animal was bred, fed, treated and slaughtered for my consumption. Way to ruin that. :p
