I did have fun, but there were certainly many frustrating, surreal and depressing moments as well. Overall I learned how busy it can get and what the crowds are like and I want to go back for the next PAX East - they say this one is bigger and after two years already overshadowing PAX Prime in Seattle.

So I wasn't even aware of PAX until this post, and now I'm super jealous and want to go! I don't even play video games, it just looks really fun.

The main exhibition hall is predominantly video games but there was a presence of RPGs, CCGs and board games too. Half of the panels I attended were for tabletop RPGs, and I ended up playing several board games I had never played before. It's essentially just a gaming convention that favors video games, and favors indie developers of video games even more.
