Wanted: Friends to hang out w/ on a regular basis

Apparently I don't suck too bad as a cook. My casseroles turned out very well if I do say so myself. I made both a squash and a cheesy pineapple. My lil sis said the pineapple one was "off the chain" so I am pleased. My roomy pretty much made the deviled eggs for me but I boiled the eggs. It was a team effort all around. I feel more confident

I encourage recipe posting. Those sound yummy!! I will reciprocate on my corn bread (people really liked it), apple pie and my own version of green bean casserole. I just have to try this cheesy pineapple. :)

I am in a kind of funky friend place. I sort of grew apart from one of my long-time gal pals. Another one moved and I don't see her much. Plus, I managed to create this situation where I mostly hang out with the people my gf and I hang out with. That is fine except it just means additional entanglement. I just feel like I don't have much of a support network for me as much as for my relationship. Anyway, I empathize with the friend weirdness!!

Thanks for the empathy. I made the first step today and called a friend and made some plans.

I think things would be easier if I just had a friend I didn't have to share w/ anyone. :P

It gets harder as we all get so busy and life gets so darned complicated. It is not like when we were young and had our bestest friend who we spent every minute with. I sort of miss that. :)

at least you were able to grow up around the same friends for most of your life. the friends i have that i've known the longest i've only known since say 96 and i haven't seen them since 02....
i really know what you mean. probably even worse than you, actually.

but dating isn't so bad.

I got a few old friends and some new from college. I mean it's good they are mostly all local but it sucks when they can't seem to find any time for you.

True, dating isn't so bad. But men are. ;)
