Whoa, now wait a minute!

The poll is for whether its a jacket or a sweater. Sweaters, Jackets and Coats, are all relative to the amount of warmth they provide. I voted for Sweater (which is in the same family as sweatshirt and what I would actually call it) because it is a garment I put on in when it is chilly but not yet cold. A jacket, runs in the same family as wind-breaker and the garment in question would not protect you from cold winds. And the final level of Coat, is what will protect you from the COLD, which most Californians have rarely experienced so I understand the confusion.

I voted jacket, but then english is not my first language, so I may be wrong. I do think that it fits the description of a jacket better then that of a sweater. In my world a sweater doesn't have a front opening. Maybe it's a cardigan?
