home and allergies

Well, typical home stuff so far. Of course my allergies have been bad - I'm allergic to our dog and all that. So thats fun. I haven't seen anyone other than my parents and my brother yet, but I suppose thats ok. Mom is on one of her "family time" kicks, but again, its empty nest syndrome so I forgive her. The road trip here was long and lonely

It's Christians like that who make me feel ashamed of my own faith. They make people think you have to be one or the other, liberal or Christian, and that their brand of faith is the only interpretation of the Bible. I don't buy it. You know me, I'm a firm Dem who also attends the most accepting church ever, which just happens to be an MCC, so it's largely GLBT people. All Dems, all faithful. Christianity and politics somehow often end up looking incompatible, but the fact is they're not. People just try to force their conservative views onto the truth of Christ's message and come up with this perverted version of the true doctrine of love.

Okay, I'll contain my own anger at the people who use God's words of love for war and hate and intolerance now. I'm going to do my part and love them anyway. That's my job as a Christian. Someday maybe they'll remember their own jobs, too. I'll keep hoping, anyway.

Cheer up. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. I know you'll find it. Take care out there!
