It's a different world. Bigger than the leap from high school to college, at least for me. And that's saying something, because my high school was shit and Butler was decent. Your perception of this will probably change as time continues on. At first, graduate school seemed that way to me, but now I know the reality of it -- that a lot of people go into grad school to postpone the reality of life. You know, getting a job, being actual responsible adults. Mind you, this isn't everyone, but my two younger labmates would definitely fit into this category.
However, it is refreshing to be surrounded by other people in classes who want to learn as much as you do for the most part. It's just making sure you avoid the duds along the way. ;)
