Dude, wow, that's amazing. I'm pretty sure that I would dig taking your class. It's hard to turn against beliefs/attitudes that we have been raised with, but I think that when we see why the beliefs were challenged in the first place and gain some understanding, even if those beliefs don't change, maybe our perspectives will be. That can be a very liberating thing. And that's what college is all about.

To actually be challenged and asked to change our points of view, with things that are current and relevant to our lives, is something special. And makes it all the more meaningful. Good work, and good luck, my friend. Keep it up.

Shit, man. Your post firmly reminded me why the humanities are so important--without them, we turn into monsters, blindly unaware of our own prejudices and huddling together into our own tribes, spitting bile and throwing spears at everyone who doesn't fit into our narrow worlds.
