In which I ask about your Gamecube games.

As my supply of fresh Angel episodes begins to dwindle, I'm trying to put together some entertainment for next semester (when I theoretically should have significantly more time). I'm in negotiations for a DVD player, as well as Mario Kart: Double Dash and LoZ: Wind Waker ( Read more... )

First of all, I don't have any of these games. Secondly, Goblin Commander sucks, so I'd leave that one alone. It's a pitiful ripoff of warcraft II and III. I think some of those are Wii games too. Did you finally get your wii from your brother? Baldurs gate dark alliance is a very fun game. That's about all the advice my infinite wisdom has for you. Mr. Hobbes only dispenses in small quantities.

Thanks for the warning about Goblin Commander. And no, I haven't gotten my Wii back here yet, though I suspect I will pick it up over Thanksgiving break.

Some of them might be Wii games? I'm not sure. I know for a fact that they all exist on the Cube, but whether or not there were some Wii ports made, I couldn't say. The only game I'm confident that exists on both is Twilight Princess.

I occasionally go nuts for Tetris, so Mike bought Tetris Worlds for me last year. Unfortunately, we found it to suck pretty hard. The multiplayer mode was unlike any Tetris I've ever played--it was slow and boring and we could find no option to make it the traditional "endless" play. Instead, it stopped after about three or four minutes when one of us reached some kind of goal. We would probably be willing to part with it if you did still want it, but I wouldn't really recommend it. If you do have a Wii, they just came out with Tetris Party, which is about a million times superior. I've been playing it non-stop. :)

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm all about the endless play, so I can't see myself falling for that game.

And Tetris Party! *adds to Wii list*

I wish I could help you out -- never had a Gamecube, though the current apartmentmate does, and today, for the first time ever, I played Mario Kart Double Dash. Since you mentioned it, I felt obligated to comment. :)
