Halloween party and Palin Rage

Just got back from the MFA Halloween party. One of the other poetry first-years, Allison, and her boyfriend Geoff live on the first floor of this fucking amazing house. It's somewhere between 100-130 years old (there are conflicting dates), the ceilings and doors are at least eleven or twelve feet tall, and there's older wallpaper and crown

My mom was all excited when they first announced her as the running mate and called me expecting me to share in the excitement when she said that Palin studied journalism.

I'll admit, originally, before I'd seen, like, anything on her, I thought, "Well, that's cool, someone who studied journalism! Awesome!"

Then we actually learned about her.
