Civil defense training.

There's been a shitstorm on the tubes about this for the last few weeks. Basically, Obama's soon-to-be Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel talked about having mandatory civil defense training in a 2006 interview ( Read more... )

Did you not hear his call to service during the Obama-infomercial? I think Obama mentioned this about 100 different times during all of the things I heard on the news and over the internet.

All I can do now is laugh, laugh and laugh a bit more until I cry. *wipes a tear from laughing away*

Caveat Emptor!

I watched that, yes. However, a call to community service and mandatory participation in a civilian national security force are two completely different things.

Also, *facepalm* are you living in a different America? One where perhaps you don't have to worry about this? I hail from reality, and here we pay attention to politics *gasp* at times other than the election, and hold candidates accountable regardless of their party. This "I wash my hands of the problem because I voted for someone else" bullshit doesn't get anyone anywhere.

Did you think that I wasn't going to criticize Obama or something? That we as Americans are stuck with all of his decisions and shouldn't disagree with them because he got more popular votes? That we're just getting what we voted for?

Last time I checked, you seemed to be hopeless in love with Obama... I mean, some of your McCain/Palin posts... yeah, definitely pointing towards LOVING Obama.

I mean, really, considering how Obama could do no wrong before the election, I'm just pointing out that I'm amused that you're surprised that Obama would, oh, I don't know, have proposed ideas you didn't like ( ... )

"Ignorant of who they put in power"

Huh. And you supported McCain and PALIN!

Talk about the ignorant you tried to put in power.

Also, buyer remorse? Oh no, one potential problem with a possible plan they have and I wish I'd voted differently. Not quite. I also noticed that you didn't, and usually don't (I wonder why?) post any actual source material. Just what you believe. You say that the website was clear about this, until the election (which started when exactly? When he said he was going to run? Election night?), but more than likely nerdzrule is right and you simply misconstrued what was being said. Because Obama's a communist and will subvert America so you can't take anything he says at face value.

We still won, by the way. :P

Nerdzrule, you're welcome to delete this comment, I know it's inflammatory.
