Last day of the December talking meme, and I've actually managed to post every day. I mean, some of the entries are flocked and not fandom-related, but STILL. I think that means I've posted more this month than in the whole of the rest of this year. I'm not sure if that makes me happy or sad, but I do know I'm pleased I managed to do the whole

It's weird, but I'm not feeling that much withdrawal.
Same. Part of it is because SHIELD comes back the BEGINNING of March, so at this point, it's just two months. Plus part of me is TERRIFIED that the show is going to fuck up what has been the excellent character arcs of Grant Ward, Sky, and the skyeward relationship.
We were told, more than once, that only special people would be able to enter the temple
Tripp went back down into the city without a hazmat suit, and nothing horrible happened to him
He'd never touched the obelisk before, but as soon as a bit of it touched him, he went all stone-y, which, okay, looked like the splinter-bomb effect, but could just as well have been the diviner noticing him and getting to work
I can roll with this.
Theory the third: sooner or later Ward is going to be back with the team, but Simmons is going to have a harder time forgiving him than Fitz, because letting go of anger you feel on behalf of other people is sometimes harder than letting go of your own.I would LOVE it if Ward was back ( ... )

1.) not wanting to change its name
Ahaha, I hadn't even thought of that. Man, the re-branding costs would be HUGE.
2.) being too in love with Coulson as a Good, Ethical man. I really feel the writers have blinders were he is concerned and are really invested in the idea of him as an unblemished, heroic figure.
I get what you mean, but it's an example of what I meant. That concept of Couson is a carry-over from the films. After all, his death was the rallying call for the Avengers, and overtly undermining his "good"ness without taking the movie franchise, and all the future moves that are already in production/planning/whatever would be unlikely to happen. I mean, obviously, AoS is tiny compared to any one of the films, so in order to fit into the whole franchise they kind of have to leave the big stories to the movies, and if that means that Cap 2 or Age of Ultron gets to tell the SHIELD sucks as much as HYDRA story then that's the way it's always going to be.

Why would you EVER apologise for that. You know that angst is like the air I breathe. Fluff makes me cough.
And, like, the main issue that I have isn't even really that nobody's addressing how Fury's SHIELD was that, it's that nobody's addressing how Coulson's SHIELD IS THE EXACT SAME THING THAT SHIELD HAS ALWAYS BEEN. And he's standing there and keeping all the secrets when he said he wouldn't AND NOBODY IS SAYING ANYTHING.
They are, though. I mean, not as much as we'd like, but they are. Skye is constantly calling him on his secretive bullshit, as is May (although she does it in private). Hunter and Mack have both expressed doubts about how he's running things, and Bobbi and Mack are Up To Something in the background.
And, much as I didn't really like Bobbi's whole "you really aren't Fury, are you?" thing, because WRONG, she repeatedly pointed out that he was Fury's man. Keys to the kingdom.
I have faith there's going to be something in all of that. I ( ... )

You're not the first to suggest this, and I FUCKING LOVE IT.
