I FEEL YOUUUUU!!! ZOMG, I thought exactly the same thing! I don't think I've ever felt more cheated...it's freaking unbelievable. I saw like the 20sec trailer for XIII-2 and I'm like: "HUH?? Why the hell didn't they just bury this thing?" It's ludicrous, I tell you.
I don't know how they can pretend for us to buy the sequel when the original game was the bitterest disappointment in history. I read somewhere that they were planning on making some improvements and I won't disagree there, there was a hell lot of room for improvement but c'mon!! That won't be enough to convince me...if I buy XIII-2, it will be after reading more than a few detailed reviews and I will definitely buy it used. 8DD I'm so not giving them my money.
That trailer was a joke. It's basically the ending plus 5 seconds of ridiculous "let's redo it all". She's wearing a fricken suit of armor. Byebye Mecha/Steampunk feel, hello medieval fantasy roots... And here the technology worked so well in VII.
Let's hope they'll improve on the side of character development, too. I never particularly cared for that annoying little sister, thus rendering the whole overall objective of the game moot for me.
I think, for once, I really won't buy the game when it's first released. By now you can get it regularly for half the price as the PS3 version, and even cheaper for Xbox 360. Could've saved so much money.
And (international) release won't be until Winter 2012. lol
Still, Versus has no release date at all, yet. ;_;
