Dealing with disaster - the Japanese way

One thing I find quite remarkable - and admirable - in the current situation in Japan is how the people are maintaining order and discipline: Despite worries about food shortages, people are patiently waiting in line for hours to buy some last pieces of food or bottles of drinks.

I admired them before but now, my admiration has just skyrocketed with this whole disaster situation. They are praiseworthy in every sense. It's amazing how, despite all the ddevastating loss, they still have the will and discipline to keep going.
