To be honest, I have no idea what term could be used to describe you - besides intelligent and so on ;) Audiophile definitely doesn't fit since these/we guys strive for a perfect audio setup, the love for music is just something that guides us to the extremes we are sometimes known for. A common misconception is that everything needs to be ultra-high-voodoo-quality. Sometimes cheap just works as well - the only thing that matters is the result and the sound. Gold plated connectors are not gold plated for "better sound" but because gold corrodes less easily and therefore allows for longer lasting and better electrical connections.
But enough of me, I still find that there are many fascinating facets in your personality :)
Also, bonus credit to whoever recognises the quote at the start of this post, and double extra credit to whoever gives the right one of (at least) two correct answers.
Google says it's a quote from Edgar Allan Poe, spoken on The Alan Parsons Project album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" at the start of The Fall of the House of Usher. People pointed out it was a kind of remix of "Letter to B---", though I couldn't match it in their linked texts. "18:31" seems to be meant not as a time, but as a date (1831), though.
Or in other words: You're back on my friendslist ;)
