I also can't comprehend you - YOU - writing a fic without any sexual touching or objectification ever ;-)

Man, have I missed your words. Even something as small and tight as this reminds me how of great you are weaving the emotions into characters without even having to say much. My only complaint is I would love to see more of these guys - the before, the hurty afters, the struggle to make it work now, all of it, just because the glimpse here is so delicious. ♥

Oops, premature sending and I don't have comment editing abilities any more. :)

Anyway, thank you for the lovely comment, bb! Re: seeing more - I actually have all that stuff you want to see more of conceptualized, but didn't have time to write it all before this challenge, LOL. So maybe, one day. I have their junior hockey meet-cute written down already, anyway. ;)

Very well done stylistically, managing to tell the whole backstory on the side...and a nice story it is!

Aww my heart was hurting for both of them by this point, "One night near the end of the tournament, after more drinks than he should have had and going on nowhere near enough sleep, Jared showed up outside of Jensen's room. He doesn't know exactly what he said, but he can recall the pinched look of guilt on Jensen's face as he'd stood silently and stoically through Jared's rant about all they'd given up, all they could have had. The next morning in the locker room, Jensen didn't say anything, but he nodded at Jared with an expression of apology and acknowledgment, and that, well. It helped." So much emotion in a kind of pared down story.
