Summary: New York, the city of sins welcomes Lea, Dianna, Heather and Naya. Dianna gets into New York's mood so quick? We'll see.
Dianna reached out for Lea, a small smile on her lips. Lea stepped closer to Dianna, taking her hand. They looked upon the city lights silently until Dianna spoke.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
Lea glanced over at Dianna then back at the city lights before whispering “Yeah, it’s peaceful”.
Dianna just smiled, looking down at their hands connected, rubbing soft circles on the back of Lea’s hand.
Lea took a deep breath “Di…”
“Hmmm?” hummed Dianna without looking at Lea; still focused on their hands.
“Why are we here? And why you did all of this for me?” indicating to the heart made out of candles.
Dianna looked at her for the first time “I didn’t really, it was Heather’s idea to include something romantic”
“But why?”
Dianna took a deep breath, brushing a lock of Lea’s hair behind the shorter girl’s ear “Remember when we first met?”
“Yeah, we were at a casting session” Lea laughed before continuing “I remember that I couldn’t keep my eyes off you. It was so creepy.”
Dianna laughed weakly “No, it was sweet. I was too embarrassed to look back.”
Lea smiled “Why are we mentioning this again?”
Dianna sighed this time “Look, I don’t quite know how to do this but promise you’ll just listen to me until I’m done, Okay?”
Lea just nodded
Taking a deep breath, Dianna started talking while looking directly into Lea’s eyes “The day I met you, we didn’t even know each other but you kept staring at me and I was too embarrassed to look back, afraid to catch your eyes. We became friends faster than anyone else did and I offered you to move in with me, you know why?”
Lea shook her head, concentrating at the same time.
“I wanted to see you more than anyone did. Selfish, I know. I just did. My heart was jumping up and down in my chest like a small child who’s just got a new toy when we kissed for the first time. I liked you, really liked you.”
Dianna brushed Lea’s cheek softly and started talking again “I never expected it to be more than like, just dating you. It changed when I realized I was in love with you. I was too scared to tell you so I guess you didn’t know and started dating that thing called Theo.”
Lea looked down upon hearing his name, she still remembered the incident in New York.
Dianna lifted Lea’s chin up and whispered “You know why I punched him?”
Lea shook her head weakly.
Dianna took a breath “Well, I was so mad. I thought he never deserved you; he looked like he’s someone who would do that to his partner. You were in his arms and he lost you willingly. I never chose to let you go. I would have never minded if you were the only one I keep dating. I would’ve been happy and complete.”
Dianna saw a hint of tears in Lea’s eyes so her face softened up “I guess that’s why I’m doing this, besides that I’m in love with you. I want to be here for you forever. I don’t want to hide from anyone. I don’t care what anyone says. I guess I love you too much to care anyways, so..”
Dianna got on one knee in front of a very shocked Lea and got a velvet box out of her pocket “Lea Michele, would you do me the honor and be my wife in front of the whole world?”
Dianna watched as Lea’s tears run freely, still waiting for an answer.
Lea nodded her head strongly, whispering “Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes.”
Dianna placed the ring on Lea’s finger before getting up and hugging her so tightly.
“I love you so much” whispered Lea.
Dianna kissed the side of Lea’s head, whispering “I love you too, more than anyone could ever love you”.
Dianna could hear Lea smile next to her ear.
“Let’s go home, Okay? But let’s just blow out these candles before we leave.” said Dianna.
Lea laughed weakly “Okay”
They blew out all of the candles together while holding hands then drove back to Dianna’s apartment where they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
