i'm so fuckin fed up

Aug 08, 2008 08:34

It all started as a beautiful morning. I managed to wake up at 7:00, washed my face, got dressed, read mails. Then I decided to go to the bakery for some croissants because we hadn't a thing for breakfast. Katta started to make the morning coffee meanwhile. She also told me there's a very nice small bakery just around a corner with delicious things ( Read more... )

thats hungarian customer service for you.

but dont worry, it happens everywhere. ok, parisians are famous for being rude, but i got told off in my favourite creperie on my last night (it was the last thing i wanted to do in paris, to eat my fave crepe in the creperie where i went every week cause its so good), it was around 1am and we had a 20 euro note, and he was shouting at us asking what did we think coming here this late making him make crepe and expecting that he has change at this late hour!
i was almost in tears he was so rude and we were just stanging there not understanding why he was so rude and in the end i said well im really sorry that i came here exactly to your creperie to eat your crepe and spend my money at your creperie and nowhere else and he said yeah im sorry too you came here.

well, there you go. it ruined my whole last night.

Yeah, I remember this story. Yours is actually worse than mine, because it's sort of logical she hasn't enough change YET, but your guy should have had quite an amount by that time, so I just can't get his logic :)

and also there was no reason to shout at us, cause then we paid with a 10 euro note and that was fine, he just started to shout out of nowhere.
i guess he had a bad day or sth.

so far in dublin i havnt met anyone rude, but they are sometimes incompetent in what they're doing.

You're right, and that's my problem with this country. No one gives a fuck. They don't want anything to get better. They're satisfied with rolling around in their own little morasses complaining, blaiming politics, but they wouldn't ever get out of it and realize they're disgusting too.

still i shouldnt blame the workers, rather the employers. theres probably no motivation to be nice bc the system is wrong. (example for a better system: you can rate the delivery boy online on netpincer after the food arrives. they are usually very polite.)

I can't share your opinion. Why do they need motivation to be polite with me, to provide a better service? Is it more tyring to say "Here you go, sir" than "Go fuck you"? Does it need different muscles of the face, or what? :)

They simply COULD BE more polite, more caring. It would cost the employee NOTHING. They shouldn't make a better service out of FEAR of being rated or punished, even fired because of a bad score. They should give a better service because they DECIDED to work in service providing and it's a basic part of the job...

That's Hungary: if it's not your own business, you do the absolute minimum that saves you from being fired, and nothing else. No matter what and where you do it, or to whom.

Dögöljön meg a szomszéd tehene is, nem tudom ez hogy van angolul.

A whole lot of people is totally uninterested, only caring about themselves and everything that is outside of their little bubble is just too far away to take care of. And that is different in other countries, like in Germany. People are more open and willing to do something for others, for their country ( ... )
