I'm feeling a bit under the weather today. My voice is a little botched, so whenever I try to accio a tissue, my wand hits me over the head. Not what I'd call very fun...

So much for taking a day off from gran's annoying chores.

I've never understood why people make up such stupid things. Harry and Ron, and...whoever else might be...suspected...I got your backs.

This whole thing is making me wonder if I should even go back to Hogwarts. It's not safe anymore.

So. I'm 17. I don't know if I trust myself to do magic on my own...

Gran gave me a couple of small but nice presents, I guess. It's a quiet birthday, but I'm used to it.

I think I've got some sort of bloody cold or allergy. Why do I always have to get sick during the summer? Colds are for the winter, not when it's nice and warm out.

This sucks. And the fact that gran is making me dust isn't helping any.

Today gran decided on cleaning out the entire attic. It was sort of strange that there were so many useless things up there. I wouldn't have guessed. I don't like it up there. It sort of creeps me out.

Things at home are pretty quiet. That could be because it's 1 in the morning...but still. ...Wait, why aren't I asleep?

At least I don't have to deal with Ron's sleep talking again.

Isn't tonight the Ball?

I just can't sleep anymore. I've got a big Charms exam tomorrow that I think I'm going to fail. On top of that, Ron's snoring like he's got a truck stuck in his throat. And he keeps muttering too. I can't really understand it.

Seems like there's no way I can get back to sleep now.

Oh. He just said something about an elephant...and Scabbers too.

Seems like everyone's talking about the Ball everywhere I go. That's usually how it is though. I guess.

I'm going...but I don't know who to ask...Maybe I'll just go alone. I could...er...just hang out. It won't be too bad. There's good food anyway, I guess.

Speaking of food, I'm hungry.
