... anyway, after this dramatic fight, post those Sasha pics already, ex-friend :P.

Also, she is kind of young!Minerva *ponders*. The eyebrows are fab, and The Look without a double chin, how DOES she do it? She should be in NCIS. Totally.

Best smushed-together name EVER. XD Hehehehe. There are some seriously lovely pics of both of them here.

PS- Kristin Scott Thomas on her "The Walker" co-star Lauren Bacall: "She's fantastic but quite formidable. Everyone is terrified of her." Thought you might enjoy that quote. You could say the same about Kristin, in fact she regularly says the same thing of herself. :D

Hehe, danke! Laura Roslin: taking over the universe, sweetly and without people noticing they're in a dictatorship. ;D

Overdoses can be fabulous things. I watched lots of stuff with Callas on YouTube yesterday. On one memorable occasion I was squeaking and practically under my chair *five seconds* into a French interview because she can say "Oui, oui." LIKE NO-ONE ELSE.

...

Or perhaps I am just weird :D.

She speaks French in the most adorable way. Stuff like this (and 8 femmes) is what French class should be made of.

Oh, and this made me squeak too, you've probably seen it already or something, but it's her singing Una Voce Poco Fa and oh, that face, that voice.

Which bio is that? I have the one by Arianna *some Greek name* and the one on her and Onassis called "Greek Fire" :). Both are fantastic reads, she's so interesting (and prettyyyyy).

I agree. Maria is so fascinating and she is so stunning to look at, I ordered "Maria Callas: The Woman Behind the Legend"
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington and "Maria Callas: A Musical Biography" Robert Levine. I was going to get the book by Anne Edwards but it didnt get very good reviews at amazon. Its so great to see someone who likes Maria as much as i do :) I love your icon! I think i'll try and make some Maria icons. I would to be in Milan next month they are remembering Maria at LA SCALA by showing a new documentary film, photos and exhibiting some of her gowns :)

I made zillions of Maria icons a while ago... hmm, wait, I'll link you to the icon post in a sec, I had this huge fit of Maria-fangirling last year ;). The book by Arianna la-di-da is seriously great. It's been on my bedside table for ages :D.

Ohhh, Milan sounds so fabulous! Oh Maria, Maria.

True story: I once worked at a dog kennel on the central coast of CA and Suzie Amis came to buy a dog for her then-boyfriend James Cameron. Her son, as you know, is Jasper Robards...who is Lauren Bacall's grandson. My boss, being completely and unabashedly nosey, asked what it was like to have Lauren Bacall as an ex-mother in law.

The look on Suzie's face was completely priceless and not a little bit of terror mixed with all that derision. Ah, family.

And that is my 15 million degrees of Lauren Bacall story. The End. ;)

Hahaha, well still, that's cool :D. I can imagine Bacall can be terrifying. Fabulous, but terrifying ;).
