Back where I've always belonged to,
fear turns into breathed relief,
for things are different - but the pieces fit.

I am fitting. Acceptance is not a goal,
yet it is achieved as a gift.
Some pieces change.
Some stones are gone.
But the cobblestone road stands.

I stand.

As if I were a river
The harsh age
changed my course,
Replaced one life with
another,
Flowing in a different
channel
And I do not
recognize my shores.

Things that are hard to accomplish with a sprained right wrist:
- putting on socks
- putting in contact lenses
- wiping ass
- typing
- opening a bottle

Things that are impossible to do with a sprained right wrist:
- signing my name
- putting on a bra
- cutting a steak
- tying shoe laces

I feel the ugliness of my face
spreading like flowery stains on the bed as i lay down
