I think I got off easy. If the quiz went digging for New Orleanian ebonics, it might have revealed a creeping influence in spite of my best efforts over the last eight years to keep it at arm's length.

And I still refuse to pronounce 'calliope' as "cal-E-ope". I don't care if marks me for a transplant - I just won't do it.
