Co-worker: "You look too happy. Knock it off."

Me (smiling): "Lick it."

Tax return has parachuted successfully into our checking account, which means Tommy Gets New Guitar tomorrow morning. Yeehaw!

And I now own Season Two of Three's Company on DVD ( Read more... )

Come and knock on our door..... handleschmandle April 22 2005, 21:26:15 UTC
I love "Three's Company". So many episodes I love....like the one where they all go camping and Lana sends Mr. Firley on a hunt for strawberries so she can get Jack. The one where Jack has a mustache and Terry falls for him because he looks like her ex-boyfriend. The one where Jack and Janet go to a party and he's high on pain pills and makes a fool out of himself. And the names Larry would give women, like "Greedy Gretchen". Okay, I've babbled enough....(I'm on a LJ posting frenzy lately....)

Season Two has been a real treat. Mina and I binged last night and this evening - yes, you guessed it - are on the second disc now.

I think Lana shows up two more seasons from now. Ditto for Ferley. Larry shows up for a few episodes (he's full time in Three apparently) sometime in Season Two, so we should be seeing him in a disc or so.

I'm looking forward to the Janet/Nudist episode, but not sure if that's this season or another one. I love their 70's "Life" butterfly, plants everywhere, Beatles mural, SoCal decor. :-)

Heh...I grew up watching Three's Company. Weirdly enough, it was my grandparents' favorite show for YEARS. Ironic considering it's hedonistic content! I'll always have a soft spot in my dark little heart for John Ritter...He was Tex's son AND in a cool episode of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"...

Have you ever seen any eps of "Man About The House"? The Brit show Three's Company was based on...I saw a few years ago...It was pretty similar, except I seem to recall some "Benny Hill" style nekkid breasts. ;)

I knew about _Man About The House_, but only saw a few clips from some of the episodes.

Celebrities come and go, and I sigh a little in their passing, but I took John Ritter's death pretty hard. He was a sweet guy on and off camera, and he was taken far too early.

I grew up with _Three's Company_ as well. Since I grew up in Southern California, I was immediately familiar with where they lived, where they traveled to, etc.

Guitar shopping is funfunfun- enjoy! (I'm envious, can you tell?)

Personally, I'd really like to go shopping for a new amp. I sold my really nice amp with the intention that I would use the money to buy a new (smaller) one, but that never happened.

Anyway, have a good time. I look forward to talking Shop (and by shop I mean everything, naturally) soon. =)

Let's hope I fare better today than I have in my two previous attempts to find "the one" when I visited a couple of smaller shops on the Westbank. One guy described Guitar Center in Harahan as being "like Wal-Mart ... you have a bunch of kids banging on drums and all that.."

I've always liked GC for their selection... but you are correct. They are generally havens for kids in their mid-teens to dream of being a rock star.

I should know. I was one of those kids at one time =)
