Kat watched the bright lemon still going round and round in the plastic cup long after he’d stopped stiring. Condensation cooled his hand as he carried the drink outside. Shine was pretending to be asleep, sprawled in a hammock between two trees, shirtless, one arm over his head the other on his stomach, a secret smile on his lips. Seeing Shine posing for him like a fairytale prince waiting to be awakened by a kiss made Kat’s jeans feel to tight. Then Kat’s grin turned grew wicked, instead of kissing his prince awake, he captured an ice-cube in his teeth.
