Title: Three Corners
’Verse: Servants Journals
Characters: Shine
Prompt: 42 Triangle
Word Count: 332
Rating: pg?
Notes: Introductions of the main characters from Shine’s point of view. This one could have gotten long and turned into a recap of the ‘story so far’. Boring! As much as I tried to put in what/why Shine is owned, it just didn’t fit right. Read #1 Beginning if you don’t already know.

I feel like I’m standing on one corner of a triangle, Joseph stands on one and Kat on the other. But it’s not an equal side triangle, there is constant pulling or pushing on the lines between us, bringing us closer together or further apart.

My name is Raymond Miller, but every one calls me Shine. When I was very little someone called me ‘their little ray of sunshine’ and it stuck. Much to my relief it eventually became ‘Shine’. I’m in my early twenties. I have snow white hair and light blue eyes. The centers of my eyes are slit like cats’ but you have to be very close to me to notice it.

Joseph owns my blood and body. He is a vampire over two hundred years old. He is classically handsome like most vampires are, with dark blond hair and bright blue eyes. If one has to be owned then he makes a good master to be owned by, he has a mellow temper and almost never gets angry. He treats me very well. I have no complaints. He has my respect and friendship; I think it’s mutual

Kat is my friend, and my lover; he big blue eyes and silky black hair that hangs to the middle of his back. He makes me laugh when I’m down, and keeps me company when I’m lonely and gives me a shoulder I can lean on. He has a knack for looking like his name sake too, with graceful slinky movements like a cat, and his ability to look as innocent as any kitten. Believe me, he’s not innocent. He knows about Joseph because Joseph showed him. Though it frightened him, he didn’t run away, winning Joseph’s approval.

As much as I would like to be pulled into Kat’s corner of the triangle, I’m not free to go. Joseph’s hold on my line is absolute. And Kat’s line is getting shorter every night. He’s already in to close to back away.
