I fell into this fandom after seeing the movie, I bought the remastered version of TOS, and I like that even more than the new movie. Somehow I always thought that this was a silly camp 60s thing, like the Batman series or the silly stuff they did with MFU in third season. But it was actually proper scifi plots and serious subjects and being more of a classic scifi fan than fantasy fan, this is actually right down my alley.
And the cuteness and really, despite being the grandfather of slash pairings, I had no idea how terribly slashy canon actually is. Now I'm working my way through the movies.
This was a season 1 based only, sort of pre-slash in my mind. There will be more based on next season, I just need the proper idea.
