[At the other end of the Arc one of Ness's balls is a small, white rabbit. Seconds later, it's a small white rabbit laying on the ground next to a baseball with a large bump on his forehead.]

[ It's not the sport that draws her to the field. He's broadcasting his emotions, enough that a passing empath can pick them up. She watches from the bleachers for a while, waiting to see what he does when he gets to the end of the bucket. ]

[Once the bucket became depleted, Ness' shoulders dropped as the bat now rested at his side. Looking down at the empty bucket, Ness stood still and watched it, as if it were magically going to refill itself.
Without warning, the young boy swung his bat back over his head, like a golfer would a golf club. Swinging the bat back toward the ground, he connects with the steel pitcher and send it far out into the field with a sharp cry rising from his chest.]

[Well, school's out, there's stuff to do, homework to finish, people to hang out with, so Picky is rushing along. His path takes him by the ball field... and that crack of a baseball on a bat suddenly takes him right back home again, to Onett. They sure played a lot of baseball, there.
Yeah. Baseball. He was awful at it, but... it was a cool sport. Maybe he could watch a while. He jogged up to the fence, stood as high as he could to watch over it...]
...Ness!
NESS! NESS, IT'S YOU! NESS!!!
[And now he's scrabbling alongside the fence as fast as he can, looking for the way into the field.]

[Ness stops mid-swing, the ball hitting the dirt like the sound of a fist connecting to a punching bag. Looking over his shoulder, his ears thought themselves mistaken for a moment before his eyes could confirm.
In the distance he saw him.. No. There's no way! He almost didn't want to believe it, for Mayfield was no place for his neighbor to be. Yet, here he was, running towards him. Was it really, though?
Running a few feet to meet Picky halfway, Ness held on to his hat as the wind kicked up into his face.]
"Picky? Picky, what the heck are you doing here?!"
[As soon as he finds his way into the field, he's running up to Ness at full speed. He stumbles as he slows himself down, trying not to collide with his old neighbor.]
I dunno, what're you doing here?!
[He's grinning from ear to ear. It's... kind of not good to have Ness here, but it's also kind of REALLY GREAT to have Ness here! It's complicated.]
I woke up here one morning! And... well, Pokey's here! He's really here! Though, uh... I guess you know that.
