In my experience, though I don't know your parents at all, all parents and kids fight a lot more right before said kids go off to college. It's just a stress and empty nest thing. Though it may be different in your family.

I bet that your parents want you to be happy, and won't send you to Castleton if that won't make you happy. But money is one of those things that brings out the worst in people.

Dude, there's nothing wrong with going to Castleton. I seriously debated it. If you're going for art, it makes sense to save money. I'm going for a liberal arts degree, so I'm doing whatever is the cheapest.

I'm paying my own college loans at public school with a scholarship, so maybe I can vouch for your parents when I tell you that the price of college is FUCKING TERRIFYING. Private school is even more insane. Ask them if they're having trouble borrowing money; if that's the problem, it's really not their fault.

You're eighteen years old so they can't MAKE you go anywhere. Remember that.

And yes. it's insanely expensive. it's crazy. But, the fight was more or less about how i haven't been easy to communicate with because i've either been gone or exhausted.
